BLUE J FUNDRAISER MERCH

The Roller Derby World Cup is the premier international stage for national teams across the globe. The 2025 tournament—originally planned for Austria in July—was set to make history by welcoming borderless teams for the very first time.

Fuego Latino Roller Derby is one of those teams, created as a home where athletic grit and Latin culture intertwine, offering skaters of Latinx heritage a space to connect with both their roots and one another.

I was deeply honored to be selected as one of Fuego Latino’s representatives for the 2025 RDWC. To help cover the costs of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I designed and sold a collection of merch items throughout the year leading up to the event.

T-SHIRT GRAPHIC

For my t-shirt design, I wanted to spotlight myself alongside a phrase that captured the spirit and my passion for the sport. I illustrated myself in motion, dressed in Fuego Latino’s colors and uniform, and paired the artwork with the line: “Hago lo que me da la gana. Puro pinche roller derby.” In English: “I do what I want. Pure f*cking roller derby.” It’s a statement that sums up exactly how fiercely I love this sport.

NECKLACE DESIGN

The Muñeca necklace comes from the nickname my mom has always given me. It’s short for Muñequita, which translates to “baby doll.”
