Hauss The Boss is a fixture in the roller derby community, having skated with the Texas Rollergirls for more than 13 years. Their style is instantly recognizable—low, fierce, and fast, and punctuated by that signature ponytail streaming behind them.
I wanted to capture that sense of motion in a silhouette-style graphic. The star on their helmet signifies their role as a jammer, the skater charged with slicing through the pack and putting points on the board.

T-SHIRT DESIGN
In the Austin derby community, the crowd has a signature chant for Hauss The Boss. The announcers call out, “Who’s the Boss?” and the audience fires back, “Hauss The Boss!” I wanted to weave that iconic cheer into the t-shirt design as a nod to the energy they bring to every game.
